Forró - The Brazilian, now very much European, hip-swivelling, dance floor-filling, popular music and dance originated in Brazil’s north-eastern states. Simple put, "It's less competitive than salsa and less pedantic than tango...". Traditionally, it’s a couple's dance and the music involves only three instruments (accordion, zabumba and a metal triangle).

One year has finally passed… and the Forró de Domingo Festival 2013 is closer… This time even bigger!
Forró lessons will be enlarged with more Forró teachers and even more Workshop rooms!
1 event, 4 days and 4 nights, 8 ballrooms, over 15 dance teachers, more than 70 dance workshops, over 500 festival participants, and endless enjoyment.

Carlos Andre has over twelve years of experience teaching Forro. He has weekly clasess for beginners and advanced classes at different clubs in London in addition to private individual lessons. Andre plays a central role in the Forró scene in London, organizing great Forró concerts, secret Forró nights and recently directing and organizing the first Forró festival in London. He has also recently been awarded the Best UK Forró teacher 2010 and 2011.
